Our legend
AFF at the Norwegian School of Economics and Business Administration was founded in 1952 by Norwegian companies. Our founding father, Professor Rolf Waaler, was inspired by the course design and teaching methods of The Advanced Management Program at Harvard Business School and the Administrative Staff College at Henley. A professional enthusiast and driving force, the rector of NHH 1958-63, he lived to the age of 102.
Over the last twenty years, AFF has completed dozens of large-scale customized programs for multinational companies. Intensive training sessions have been organized in most European countries, as well as in Asia and North America. Selected industries have been telecommunication, petroleum, manufacturing, shipping, aquaculture, finance, and construction.
AFF partners
We work with highly specialized colleagues at NHH, The University of Bergen, Ashridge, London Business School, and ETH in Zürich. We have also completed cross-cultural and cross-disciplinary programs with global institutions like CCL and IMD.
Faculty and location
The AFF faculty counts more than 40 highly skilled professionals with management, research, and clinical background. Most of us have been working with global participants, and have international training and work experience. Our departments are located in Bergen, Oslo, and Stavanger offering services to the broadest range of clients in all types of business and services.
